Pot, Meet Kettle
This cartoon from the Hardball Times says it all.
It's like John Travolta (with Nic Cage's face) fighting Nic Cage (with John Travolta's face) in FaceOff. Kinda.

The Sox might be Mini-Me to the Yankees Dr. Evil, but they are not the Evil Empire (yet).
Number of 2007 Red Sox making $10 million or more: 5.
Number of 2007 Yankees making that: 11 (three of whom make more than $20 million).
The average Yankee still makes $1.4 million more than the average Red Sock.
Come on now. There are 28 other teams in the league who'd say otherwise.
Schilling ain't a pro bono pitcher, and neither is Daisuke. And they're not paying JD Drew 14 million jellybeans a year (though Manny might take that, if offered).
The Sox have added about 23 mil to their already substantial payroll in the last two years (as the Yankees were trimming theirs...). That's more than just about everyone else. The Yanks might be the Hummer, but the Sox are no Prius, know what I mean?
In other words, welcome to the dark side. Don't worry, you learn to live with it.
